What does my courier need to do for this to work?
Your courier needs to be using the KnockBot app. Once your facility is in the KnockBot system, any KnockBot-equipped courier arriving at your location can trigger your facility's notifications — there's nothing extra they have to do besides tap "Arrived." If your current courier isn't using KnockBot, we can help you bring it up with them.
Who actually receives the SMS — and how do they sign up?
You decide. Each individual staff member you want to receive notifications signs up on our opt-in page with their own phone number. Bulk sign-ups aren't allowed — each person must consent themselves. They can opt out anytime by replying STOP.
Will couriers be able to see other facilities' info?
Couriers using KnockBot see only the facilities they personally serve on their route. They cannot browse a directory of all KnockBot facilities. Your facility's gate codes, contact info, and notes are only visible to drivers you've authorized to deliver to you.
What's the difference between Text and Text + Zello?
Text tier sends SMS messages to opted-in staff phones. Text + Zello does the same plus broadcasts a voice announcement to your facility's Zello push-to-talk channel — useful when staff have their hands full and aren't checking their phones (med passes, patient care, etc.). If your facility already uses Zello, the upgraded tier is the smart pick.
How fast does the notification arrive after a courier triggers it?
Typically within 2–5 seconds. SMS goes out the moment the courier taps "Arrived" in the app. Zello announcements fire simultaneously through a Zapier automation. There's no delay or manual confirmation required.
What about HIPAA?
KnockBot SMS messages are intentionally generic — they say "A courier has arrived at [Facility Name] for medical delivery" with no patient names, medication details, or PHI of any kind. The notifications are operational/logistical only. We don't transmit, store, or process protected health information.
What if I want to cancel or pause my subscription?
No long-term contracts. You can cancel or pause any time. Once your subscription ends, your facility is removed from the KnockBot system and all opted-in staff numbers are suppressed.
